In 2017, we made a deliberate commitment to implement impactful ESG initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental footprint, prompted by the alarming levels of waste generated in our industry. Central to our ESG objectives was the integration of sustainability into the product life cycle, leading us to develop our Zero Waste Implants, with the goal of extending similar sustainable practices to other product categories in the future.

Leading this charge is Mireia Corral, DESS’ ESG Manager, who has been instrumental in spearheading our sustainability initiatives. With her expertise and passion for environmental stewardship, Mireia has guided our company towards adopting eco-conscious practices and embracing a culture of sustainability.

Packaging With A Purpose (Eco-friendly) 

At DESS, our philosophy is centered around bringing our commitment to sustainability to every aspect of our products. With our Zero Waste Implants, we have achieved a significant milestone by delivering the first eco-friendly implant packaging on the market. Our packaging is designed for 100% recycling or reuse of its materials, ensuring that no waste is left behind.

Our Zero Waste Implants packaging features 100% recycled cardboard packaging and a recyclable PET blister, along with a reusable/recyclable titanium vial. But our commitment to sustainability doesn't end there. We actively involve our customers in our recycling efforts by offering a free implant for every 10 sets of packaging returned for recycling. This not only incentivizes recycling but also fosters a sense of environmental responsibility among our community.
